The tobacco companies would commence purchase of White Patta tobacco from Monday (June 20) and all purchase depots where white patta tobacco purchases will be made fully operative by June 24, 2005, says a press release issued here on Saturday. Pakistan Tobacco Board (PTB)'s Research Station Khan Garhi Mardan, in a meeting recommended suitable dates for commencement of White Patta tobacco purchases 2005 crop in NWFP, the release added.
PTB Secretary Khan Faraz presided over the meeting while representatives of provincial agriculture department, tobacco growers and senior executives of tobacco companies attended the meeting.-PR
