Additional District and Session Judge Vehari Muhammad Nawaz awarded death sentence, twice, to one Allah Ditta Shah, who was found guilty of killing his daughter and her husband. According to prosecution, the accused had objection over love marriage of his daughter Parveen Bibi, 20, with Mohammed Ramzan. As a result, he along with his wife and other relatives killed the couple in Mitro, Vehari. The court also awarded life term, twice, to Allah-Ditta's wife, Manzooran Mai, their son-in-law Anwar Shah and a relative Muhammad Siddique Sumra, and fined Rs 50,000 each.
However, the court acquitted accused Jafar Shah, Liaquat Ali, Sultan Ahmed and Muhammad Ashraf Jat, giving them benefit of doubt.
The court also declared Allah Ditta's two daughters Sughran and Shamim Mai and a son -in-law Siddique Shah as proclaimed offenders.
Police had registered a case on the report of watchman of the area, while the deceased's brother also filed a complaint in the court in which he gave the names of persons involved in the murder of his brother and sister-in-law.
