The Punjab government has planned to establish the small hydel-power dams in Punjab in active collaboration with the private sector and the provincial government would soon announce a special package of incentives for the private sector for this purpose. Punjab Minister for Power Chaudhry Armughan Subhani stated this while talking to the newsmen, here on Saturday. He said that the Punjab government would announce the provincial hydel-power policy within the next couple of days.
He said that there are 400 places in the Punjab for establishing the small hydel-power dams for getting a big quantity of hydel power through these dams, as the government had started the preparation of feasibility report, besides conducting the necessary survey of all these 400 suitable places in the province.
