Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has urged his top order "to go big" in the third Test against England at Edgbaston.
According to local media report, "We need to really improve," said Misbah.
"After getting starts -- 20s, 30s and 40s -- we really need to go big," the middle-order stalwart added.
“If you really have to put pressure on the opposition, it’s important to get their main players out because those are the two pillars of their batting,” said Misbah.
In the third Test Sohail Khan marked his return to Test cricket after a five-year absence with a maiden five-wicket haul as Pakistan dismissed England for 297 on the first day of the third Test at Edgbaston. However, everything looked perfect as the batsmen scored enough runs and the bowling attack seemed lethal and sharp enough to wipe off England’s 20 wickets.
Sohail was recalled in place of Wahab Riaz as Pakistan broke up the all left-arm pace attack they had deployed for the first two Tests of this four-match contest following England's 330-run series-levelling win at Old Trafford.
However, Misbah’s men came to Old Trafford and the next five days were totally opposite to the delightful Lord’s experience.
