The amazingly popular Pokemon Go has become a global craze, since its launch the golden child of Niatics has become the talk of the tech world and rightly so, the game has serious records to prove it.
The augmented reality game has set a new Apple App Store record with more downloads in its first week than any other app in history.
It is not hard to determine how big the phenomenon of Pokemon Go has grown, the game is just everywhere from robberies, deaths, films and even Syria. As per Apple Insider, the game could be the biggest mobile game launch in US history, beating the popular Candy Crush Saga's performance in 2013.
As per Fortune, since its release, Pokemon Go has been downloaded on both the App store and Google Play over 40 million times from the two app store services, “and has earned more than $45 million in net revenue worldwide,” says Sensor Tower’s mobile insights head Randy Nelson.
“(Pokemon Go) is still being played an average of 30 minutes per day in the US on iOS, which is more than Facebook’s average of 22 total minutes per day in the country,” informed Nelson.
The Pokemon Company, the firm responsible for marketing and licensing the Pokemon franchise, has continued rolling out the game in more countries over the past few weeks.
The game has just been launched in Japan on Friday, and it’s highly unlikely that the Pokemania fever is coming down anytime soon.
