Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry will administer oath from Justice Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam, Justice Sheikh Hakim Ali and Justice M. Bilal Khan on Friday, September 3, who have been confirmed by the President of Pakistan.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry had moved a summary to President of Pakistan for confirmation of seven judges including Justice Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam, Justice Sheikh Hakim Ali, Justice M. Bilal Khan, Justice Mian Muhammad Akram Bitto, Justice Nasim Sabir and Justice M. Bilal Khan who were appointed as additional judges of the LHC.
However, President of Pakistan has confirmed the four judges and extended the services of Justice Muhammad Muzzamal Khan for one-year. President, however, neither confirmed nor extended the tenure of Justice Nasim Sikandar and Justice Mian Muhammad Akram Bitto.
