Foreign Office spokesman Masood Khan has said that all the Pakistanis in Nepal are safe and the Nepalese authorities have assured of foolproof security.
"We are in constant contact with the Nepalese authorities and Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar has also talked to his counterpart there," the spokesman told a private television network on Thursday.
"I have talked to Pakistan's Charge d'Affaires in Nepal just before recording this interview," the spokesman said, adding, he has informed that all the Pakistani families living in Nepal are safe and sound.
"However, there is tension in Kathmandu city and a curfew has already been imposed, which was relaxed for some time on Thursday morning," he said.
He said the Pakistan's embassy has taken all the necessary measures to protect the Pakistani families.
Masood said the Pakistan's foreign secretary during his conversation with his Nepalese counterpart also conveyed the Pakistan's concern asking him to ensure the security of Pakistanis in that country.
The Nepalese foreign secretary, while regretting the attack on PIA office in Kathmandu, has said that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure security of life and property of Pakistanis in Nepal, the spokesman said.
