Sialkot Police on Saturday recovered a boy Adeeb Khalil of Thatha Lakhi from the kidnappers who allegedly abducted him for ransom.
This was stated by Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Nisar Ahmad Saroya at a press conference here on Saturday.
The DPO said Adeeb Khalil and his sister Amina Khalil were coming from the school, and when they reached near the Gojra graveyard, they were intercepted by five car-riders, including a woman.
The accused took away Adeeb in the car and proceeded towards unknown destination, he said.
On receiving information about the incident, the DPO said he along with the SP (Investigations) and Additional SP Sialkot reached the spot.
He deputed Daska ASP Nasir Aftab, SHO PS City Daska, SHO Bombanwala for apprehending the accused, saying that Sialkot police party raided the site, and succeeded in recovering the boy from accused Nabila alias Billo of Gujrat and driver Shaukat Ali alias Shaki of Begowala.
Nisar Saroya said that vehicle used in the incident and illicit arms were also recovered.
The DPO said during investigation the identification of the remaining accused has also been ascertained, and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
He said the accused had taken the abductee to a "Belia" of river Chenab and confined him to a "Dera", adding later they brought him to village Begowala, and kept him in a house.
The DPO said the parents of Adeeb were also present on the occasion, and lauded the efforts of Sialkot police for recovering their kid.
