Egyptian shares ended mixed in low volume trade on Sunday with Media Production City the focus of attention on reports UAE investors are awaiting its listing on the Dubai bourse, traders said.
Company officials were not immediately available for comment but the firm has previously said it planned to list in Dubai, the commercial hub of the United Arab Emirates.
"It was really quiet today (Sunday). Volumes were really low... Whatever action there was today was in Media Production," said Dynamic Securities' Yasser Hassanein.
"The news reports say Dubai investors are keen to trade in Media Production, that will push the price up," he added.
Media Production City, one of the day's busiest stocks, last traded up 0.30 Egyptian pounds ($0.05), or 1.6 percent, at 18.84 pounds and officially closed at 19.19 pounds.
But overall, the benchmark Hermes index, closed down 0.15 percent at 14,559.30 points. The broader CIBC index finished up less than 0.1 percent to end at 95.47 points.
