Women activists of NGOs have strongly denounced the trends of criminally assaulting women by uniformed personnel and expressed deep concern over continuous women violence in Multan and remote South Punjab areas and the activists demanded for conducting DNA finger tests of policemen involved in new Multan gang rape.
The activists of Ali organisation, Muqasdass organisation led by Ayaz Ali Sheikh, Yasmin Khakwani staged demonstration in front of Multan press club on Sunday and widely condemned the gang rape incident and involvement of policemen.
Speaking on the occasion, the demonstrators demanded the government for enactment of laws against women violence and announcement of exemplary punishment in this regard.
The demonstrators urged the government for the creation of special cells to monitor women violence.
