The Founders at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), while expressing concern over worsening law and order situation in the country, has said that it would repel local investment to offshore destination what to dream of foreign investment.
In a statement here on Tuesday, Chairman The Founders, Pervez Hanif said that mounting number of dacoity incidents and indifferent attitude on the part of law enforcing agencies have shaken the confidence of business community as they have emerged as focus of criminal elements.
He said that Chief Executive of the Pakistan Guarantee Export Corporation Private Limited, Mian Mehmood was deprived of Rs 1.2 million at gun point at his doorstep when he has just arrived home after drawing money from Bank. His driver was murdered when he offered resistance.
He asked the Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to look into the matter that why such incidents are frequently happening with those businessmen who are drawing money from SBP.
