President Pervez Musharraf on Monday stressed that settlement of the Kashmir dispute was required to bring harmony in South Asia.
The President told a British Parliamentary delegation that continued engagement of the United Kingdom and the international community for the resolution of all issues between India and Pakistan was extremely important.
He also briefed the British Parliamentarians on government policies on terrorism, measures to curb extremism and the ongoing Madrassah reforms.
President Musharraf discussed with them the situation in Afghanistan and steps taken to deal with foreign terrorists in South Waziristan.
The leader of the delegation, Donald Anderson, appreciated Pakistan's bold policies on international terrorism and the forward movement in India-Pakistan relations.
The British Parliamentary delegation also called on Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali and Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri.
The seven-member delegation of British Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons is here from May 9 to 14.
The delegation includes four Labour MPs, two Conservatives and one Liberal Democrat.
During the delegation's call on Kasuri, counter-terrorism measures, nuclear non-proliferation, regional situation and India-Pakistan relations were discussed.
The Foreign Minister briefed them on the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan and explained to them President's vision of Enlightened Moderation.
The delegation also called on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of regional and international significance.
