The Pakistan Crop Protection Association (PCPA), an organisation of indigenous pesticides' manufacturers, has hailed the recent decision of cabinet to take strict action against those involved in adulteration of pesticides.
Central Chairman, PCPA, Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, in a statement here on Thursday termed the cabinet's resolve, a good omen for enhancing agricultural production in the country.
However, he suggested constitution of quality control boards at provincial levels, to effectively check the pesticides adulteration.
"Checking of adulteration has been a longstanding demand of our association and the cabinet decision would go a long way in manufacturing of quality pesticides in the country," he added.
Ijaz also announced setting up of a special cell at the Association's office, which would not only create awareness among the farmers' community but also provide guidance to check the adulteration in pesticides.
