National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (Nibge) will organise its second one-week national training course on modern techniques in biotechnology from April 5.
The course would be participated by the scientists, students, and researchers working in the field of biotechnology, biology and its related areas.
The Nibge had finally selected 25 participants from all parts of the Pakistan to disseminate advanced knowledge and practical skills.
"We had produced more than 100 postgraduate researchers for the local scientific community, and were continuously striving for improving the scope of life science research in our part of the world," said Nibge Director, Dr A. M. Khalid.
The Nibge Director highlighted that they had developed this training course comprehensively, which reflects the progress in applied biology over the past decade.
This course structure was designed to train participants to design experiments, to analyse actual experimental data, he added.
The course would also foster linkages among the various national research and academic centres.
Marking his institute's commitment, he said, it created highly skilled scientific class of researchers through their long and short-term programme of M.Phil, Ph.D and national and international short duration-training courses respectively.
