Pakistan coach Javed Miandad on Friday urged the bowlers to keep line and length to get more wickets rather than to be punished from the Indian run-making machine.
Talking to APP, the master batsman said that huge runs and quick-fire innings were the usual part of one-day game. Now the standard of pitches in Pakistan has been improved due to the involvement of technical people.
For providing qualitative, entertaining and improved cricket, such kind of pitches help the batsmen a lot, bowlers should keep their line to pressurise the batsmen.
In conditions where batsmen are so comfortable by playing strokes, the best line of defence is to take wickets even though the bowlers might go for some runs in the process, Miandad said.
"I think the series is still wide open and it can turn any way but those who would show discipline in the rank by adopting professional approach would be the winners, Miandad predicted.
