President General Pervez Musharraf has greeted his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on his success in the presidential elections.
The President in a message conveyed his heartiest congratulations to the Russian President.
In his message the President said, "Your success in the elections with an overwhelming majority is a mark of trust and confidence that the people of Russia repose in yourself. I am confident that your outstanding qualities as a leader will take Russia to new heights of economics social and technological achievements. I still remember our meeting in Moscow last years.
We can now look forward with confidence to build stronger bonds of friendship and co-operation between our two countries. I take this opportunity to express my best wishes for your Excellency's health and happiness and for the well being of the people of Russia. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
