The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Rural Support Programme Network (RSPN) and Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE) of the National Reconstruction Bureau (NRB) will establish Citizen Community Boards (CCB) all over the country.
The decision to this effect has been made in a meeting held here on Wednesday with NRB Chairman Daniyal Aziz in chair.
The USAID has funded the project with an initial grant of $3 million to impart training, and build capacity of all stake-holders at district, tehsil and union council levels, including the district monitoring committees. Speaking on the occasion, Daniyal Aziz termed the partnership an important step in levering the strength of each organisation to help communities prosper for a brighter future.
In addition to this, the NCHD is already working in 16 districts with particular focus on building capacity and strengthening educational, health and community development departments.
