Worker Welfare Fund (WWF) has chalked out a comprehensive plan to start skill training programme for workers children to explore new markets of manpower export.
A high official of Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis told APP here on Sunday, that plan will be presented before board on January 24, under which training will be provided in skills of operating bulldozers, dumpers and other heavy machinery.
He said these skills are in great demand in international labour market with high wages rate.
The ministry of labour has also initiated negotiations with National Highway Authority for the provision of machinery, he added.
He also informed that the ministry is focusing on ship breaking industry which remained ignored in past.
He said in the last fiscal year remittances of Rs 4.2 billion were collected by the manpower working abroad. He informed that demand of more than 200,000 labour force is expected from Malaysia.
