The Karachi Transport Ittehad, an alliance of 15 transport owners` associations, has convened an emergent meeting on January 17 to decide about the wheel-jam strike in view of further increase in fuel prices.
Alliance President Syed Irshad Hussain Bukhari in a statement on Friday said that the ever-increasing fuel prices have destroyed the public transport system.
"The alliance had called off its 13 December strike but this time they will definitely go on strike to lodge a strong protest against the regular increase in petroleum prices," he said.
