Shipping activity at Port Qasim

 KARACHI: Two ships C.V MSC Anafi and M.T Baltic carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday, September 26.

Meanwhile two more ships C.V Maersk Kolkata and M.V Alexi-I scheduled to load/offload containers and cement also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim on Tuesday, September 27.

Berth occupancy remained at 31 percent at the Port on Monday where a total of four ships namely C.V MSC Anafi, M.V Orient-III, M.V Vina Line Sky and M.T Baltic are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 69,274 tonnes, comprising 56,308 tonnes imports and 12,966 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,800 containers (Boxes) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Departure remained nil during last 24 hours.

Three ships C.V Maersk Kolkata, C.V Al-Farahidi and M.T Gold containers and chemicals are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Tuesday, September 27.

Container ship CMA CGM Verdi is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday, September 28, while five more ships C.V New Delhi Express, C.V Nele Maersk, C.V Maersk Davenport, C.V MSC Sena and C.V Ro Ro are due to arrive on Thursday, September 29.
