ISLAMABAD: Fertilizer companies have slashed prices of Urea by Rs.60 per bag after revision of gas prices.
Fertilizer industries said that production cost decreased owing to lessened gas tariff. Ureau bag now costs Rs 1,790 from the previous Rs.1,850, a private news channel reported here on Monday.
Experts have said the price is likely to be slashed further in the coming days as the country has enough stocks of Urea. Farmers would take benefits of lessened prices of urea in cultivation of various major crops of the forthcoming season including cotton, rice and sugarcane.
