ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of United Sates to Pakistan David Hale strongly condemned the attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda in which more than twenty persons including female students were martyred and many others injured.
In a statement issued by the embassy of the United States of America here on Wednesday, the ambassador said, "I strongly condemn today's appalling attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda."
The ambassador termed the attack as a blatant disregard for human life displayed by the attackers was intolerable.
It is especially reprehensible that the attackers targeted an educational institution where students and educators were seeking to better themselves and the nation of Pakistan, the ambassador David Hale commented.
This attack stood in stark opposition to the desires of the Pakistani people to create a secure, stable, and prosperous country, based on respect for all, the ambassador said.
"We offer our deepest condolences to the victims and their families during this time of grief", he expressed.
The ambassador expressing his resolve said, "The United States stands with the government and people of Pakistan and is committed to supporting their efforts to fight terrorism." He also extended his support to Pakistan's efforts for bringing to justice those behind the attack.
