Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is fuming after his latest release ‘Shaandaar’ has received a not-so-favourable response both from the critics and the audience. Shahid Kapoor after giving a critically successful movie in form of ‘Haider’ isn’t happy with the makers of the movie.
According to Indian media reports, a source revealed, “He was never convinced about the script. He did the film for producer Madhu Mantena. The two are close friends. And he agreed to do the film in spite of the flimsy storyline for Madhu’s sake. But now Shahid is fuming. Because Shaandaar has not only failed to deliver the much-needed box office success to his career, it has also brought down the reputation of his father Pankaj Kapoor”.
Shahid Kapoor is reportedly upset for his dad more than himself. He was enjoying his ‘Haider’ success but because of his latest release the actor’s career has again gone back. If rumours are to be believed, Shahid is blaming the makers of the film for coming up with such a sloppy story line.
Vikas Bahl’s directorial film continues to drop at the box office on Wednesday. The film minted Rs 1.75 crore on Tuesday, which took its box office collection to Rs 37.76 crore.
