ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Sunday said symbol of sher (lion) would win the by-elections with thumping majority as prayers and sympathies of nation with us.
"We have won the by-polls in Haripur and Nankana Sahib with 40,000 margin. PML-N whenever came in power, it effectively worked for the improvement, development and prosperity of the country and masses," he said while talking to a news channel.
The minister said PML-N believed in transparency and the elections would be held in free, fair and transparent manner.
He said all the demands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had fulfilled including deployment of army on polling stations. Nevertheless, PTI would level any allegation of rigging against the government, then it was wrong, he added.
He said, "We do not want any untoward situation during the polling and advised was given to workers and supporters to remain peaceful."
