Former PCB chairman Najam Sethi has announced official launch of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in February next year in Doha. The series will commence from February 4 to February 24, local media reported.
FIFA World Cup 2022 host Qatar will host lucrative international Twenty20 cricket series for Pakistan. The tournament would be played at Doha's Asian Town Cricket Stadium, which has a 14,000 seat capacity, and it is likely all games would be day/night matches. The event should prove popular among Qatar's huge Asian community.
PCB will start bidding for teams in September, while official logo for the tournament will also be revealed on September 19.
PSL will follow the same pattern like Indian Premier League (IPL). Different international players are being targeted to represent Pakistan. Further details about one of the mega event of cricket in Pakistan will be revealed in two week time.
