The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will return back Muhammad Amir’s performance in the forthcoming ‘National Twenty-20 Cup’ to be staged at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
Amir who was banned from International Cricket for a period of 5 years is all set to make his comeback into the International Cricket very soon as his ban ends in September this year.
According to local media reports a Rawalpindi Region official said that “The national team already lacks pace bowlers and with the inclusion of Aamir in the squad, it will strengthen fast bowling department. The PCB is keeping an eye on his performance and he is expected to get a ticket to international cricket soon”.
“We have high hopes from the pacer and believe he will surely get a chance in the national squad before the end of this year. The selectors will also be noting the performance of several other young and senior players from the tournament," he added.
Amir will be representing Rawalpindi Rams in the National T20. The tournament will be played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium from Sep 1 to 15 with the qualifying round being held from Sept 1 to 5 while the main event will start from Sept 8.
