KARACHI: The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 17,494.2 million on May 22, 2015, the State Bank said in a statement Thursday.
It said the break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under. i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 12,284.4 million, (ii) Net foreign reserves held by Banks: US$ 5,209.8 million, (iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 17,494.2 million.
During the week ending May 2, 2015, SBP's Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$ 228 million to US$ 12,284 million, compared to US$12,512 million in the previous week.
During the week SBP made payment of US$ 136 million to IMF as the last installment under SBA, the central bank further said.
