ISLAMABAD: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry,(FPCCI) an apex body in the country, has constituted advisory board at provincial level for better and effective close co-ordination among regional chambers of commerce and industries.
President FPCCI Muhammad Adrees told APP on Monday that first board has been constituted in Punjab comprising Khawaja Zarar Kaleem, VP and Regional Chairman, FPCCI, Hameed Akhtar Chadda, VP, FPCCI,Zahid Anwar, VP, FPCCI,Dr. Nauman Idress, ialkot Chamber, Ikhlaq Ahmad Butt, Gujranwala Chamber, Mian Javed Iqbal, Faisalabad Chamber, Manzoor Ul Haq Malik, Sheikhupura Chamber, Ch Aamir Ata Bajwa, Sargodha Chamber, Mian Waqar Ahmad, Lahore Chamber, Asad Mashhadi, Rawalpindi chamber and Nauman Ahmad Khan, Multan Chamber.
He said that advisory board will meet at least once in a month and send its progress report along with a set of recommendations for help resolving the genuine grievances being confronted by the business community in the country.
He said that other regional chairmen of federation at provincial level have also been asked to finalize the names of their advisory boards. He said that the best of the best highly educated, dedicated and experienced members of the federation and affiliated chambers will be nominated in the boards absolutely on merit.
He said that Chairman United Business Forum and Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iftikhar Ali Malik has also constituted a high level core committee which will fully ensure the implementation of the manifesto announced during election campaign of FPCCI. Hameed Akhtar Chadda, VP, FPCCI has been appointed its chief co-ordinator.
Muhammad Adrees said that he will meet the each and every presidents of all affiliated chambers to have first hand information regarding their problems and work out ways and means to help address them on priority.
He said FPCCI Regional Chairmen have also been directed that local nature problems must be resolved at regional level by taking them at appropriate level with the government functionaries.
