HYDERABAD: The Commissioner Hyderabad Asif Haider Shah while taking serious notice of the encroachments at Jamshoro Railway Crossing has formed a three members committee and assigned the task to contact with the Highways Department for removal of all encroachments after serving three days vacation notice to occupants.
Presiding over a meeting at Deputy Commissioner Secretariat Jamshoro on Friday, he said that the road should be widened by 10 to 15 feet and alternate place should be provided to bus, Suzuki and auto rickshaw stands and cart vendors.
The meeting assigned the task to committee to also conduct survey of the area and submit its report within three days to Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro so that a comprehensive plan for construction of shops, restaurants, vehicles parking, permanent traffic management and other related matters could be made possible. The meeting was informed that funds have been allocated for construction of overhead bridge at Kotri Railway Crossing.
