Ace director Karan Johar and comedian Kapil Sharma has been roped in to host the ‘60th Filmfare Awards 2014’. Filmfare awards are one of the most prominent and prestigious awards of Indian film industry which honour breakthrough performances of the year.
According to Indian media reports, makers have decided to rope in Karan Johar, his ‘Student of the Year’ star Alia Bhatt and comedy king Kapil Sharma to host this year’s Filmfare Awards. This would be the 60th year of the Awards show and the makers have already planned something huge.
Johar has hosted many award functions before so he is quite familiar with the format, while Alia Bhatt will be hosting a separate segment on the awards night. This is the first time she will take this responsibility as she has only performed at award shows before.
On the other hand, Kapil Sharma has already shown his hosting and comedy skills with his popular show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ where he entertains audience through his slapstick humour.
The award function will held on January 31, 2015 at Yash Raj Studios.
