imageKARACHI: Pakistan Navy (PN) Operational Exercise RIBAT 2014 culminated with a concluding session held at PN Dockyard here on Friday.

Chief of the Naval Staff (CONS), Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah was the chief guest on the occasion, said a PN press release issued here.

The exercise conduced in North Arabian Sea involved a large number of Fleet units including ships, submarines, aircraft alongwith Special Forces and Marines.

Additionally, elements of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) also participated in the exercise.

PN remains a key player for the maintenance of regional maritime order which is crucial for the national as well as world's economic stability.In this context, the exercise was aimed at assessing operational preparedness of PN and consolidating various operational concepts including joint operations with PAF.

The Chief of the Naval Staff, in his concluding remarks said that the challenges at hand necessitate a constant review of our operational plans through extensive war gaming and brain storming.

He appreciated the professionalism displayed during the exercise and expressed satisfaction on the overall conduct of the exercise.
