Two held for power theft; four dealers fined

FAISALABAD: Two brothers including a policeman were caught red handed by FESCO team while stealing electricity in chak 506/2 near here.

Liaquat and his brother Nasir Ali, a policeman resident of 506/2 of Mamoon Kanjan had set up direct connections separately with the supply line. FESCO team imposed a fine of Rs 85 000 on them. Separate cases have been registered against them.

Meanwhile,District government authorities fined four fertilizer dealers with Rs 25,000 on overcharging and operating without license in the city on Thursday.

Also,Assistant Commissioner Qaisar Abbas imposed Rs 15,000 fine on a petrol pump in Sahiwal area for over charging.
