ISLAMABAD: With the arrival of a cold wave, sale of new and used winter clothes shoot up as witnessed in different markets in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The winter season, just at the corner, the recent showers and yesterdays gushing winds forced the people, especially the motorcyclist to put up wind breakers and jackets. Those who were caught up misway, preferred to buy afresh while others made early winter shopping.
"I have come here to buy sweaters and blankets for my family as winter has already appeared in full gear," said Asim Yasin, who was shopping at the super market.
With the increasing number of buyers, shopkeepers are skimming the market on new arrivals and little higher on last years' left over designs, Noor Fatima another shopper said.
Many people throng to weekly bazaars and Lunda bazaars to buy clothes at cheaper rates.
