Govt constructs protective walls, causeways in Hangu
PESHAWAR: The government has completed construction of protective walls and causeways in different areas of Hangu district in a view to provide smooth and improved travelling facilities to locals for ensuring them a better life style and congenial environment Special Development Unit (SDU) Spokesman told APP here on Sunday.
He said that 11 meters causeway and 77 meters protection wall was reconstructed in Ibrahim Zai village to protect area form rain water and flash floods.
Similarly, in Bagattu village 22 meters long causeway along with 22 meters long retaining wall has been constructed with 61 meters long protection wall.
The district administration has reconstructed 250 meters protective wall in Gulshan Colony to secure Shahu road, which was damaged by floods last year.
The schemes are completed with an objective to improve infrastructure damaged by devastating floods for facilitating more than 20,000 residents of the area.
