PESHAWAR: The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) here on Thursday defused a 4kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) found in a garbage pile in Adizai area of Matani, on the outskirt of the district.
According to spokesman of Matani police station, locals of the area spotted an IED, dumped in a garbage heap near Government High School Adizai and called Matani police for investigation.
The police called officials of the BDU for examining the IED, who later defused the explosive device successfully.
Police said the IED was found to be planted few months ago and was abandoned by the miscreants.
