All state institutions performing duties under Constitutional parameters: Pervaiz

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervez Rashid on Friday said that all state institutions were performing their duties under constitutional parameters.

Talking to media after attending the function, he said, "All the institutions including the Pakistan armed forces are playing their role as written in the constitution of the country. Every institution believes on the supremacy of the law and rumour mongers are spreading baseless rumours".

The Minister said the Pakistan armed forces are performing duties in very tough and difficult situation just to protect the frontiers of the country.

Pervaiz Rashid said that some elements were levelling baseless allegations just to malign Pakistan armed forces to achieve their nefarious designs.

He said that in the past we used to hear bad news like bomb blasts and terrorist attacks every but for last few months good news have been coming. He said that good news like stock exchange improvement, appreciation of Rupee against dollar, setting up of power generation plants, starting of construction work of new public transport system. Moreover he said that the entire world now wants to strengthen their relations with Pakistan and invest here, which was a big change.

He said that the Lok Versa festival has been organized to bring cultures and civilizations of all regions of the country under one roof.He said that the artists, singers and artisans participating in the lok mela were representing the real cultural values of the country." They express their feeling through colours, words, music etc.

To a question about Pervez Musahrraf trail, he said that the matter was sub Judice and we all should wait for the court decision and should accept it.
