imageKARACHI: Pakistan's all guns should be blazing against arch-rival India in their opening Group-II match of ICC World T20 Cricket which explode into action at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur on Friday.

"Pakistan team should forget the past and fully focus on the attack against India in all department of the game tomorrow," ex-Test batsman Basit Ali said on Thursday.

"This is do-or-die game for Pakistan and beating India would be a crucial factor in their easily making the semi-finals," he commented.

He called for using Sharjeel Khan as an opener because he can change the game within few overs despite his poor run of play.

"Sharjeel is an explosive batsman and should open the innings with Ahmed Shahzad," he said.

"Attacking approach and doing some gamble can prove fruitful," he asserted.

Basit Ali said dew factor could pose a problem for Pakistan formidable bowling line-up.

"In my opinion Pakistan should bowl first if they win the toss and chase," he advocated.

He said Pakistan spin attack is very formidable but Ashwin, Jadeja, Mishra, Yuvraj could also prove dangerous at times.

Basit said each and every ball and run will be very crucial and small mistake, poor fielding, drop catch could turned the game.

He said using Umar Akmal purely as batsman may benefit the team. However he hoped that Kamran Akmal should be making any mistake behind the stumps.

He rated holding catches and saving runs in the field as an another factor in the outcome of the match.
