According to Zee News Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been charged for allegedly assaulting South African businessman Iqbal Sharma two year ago.
The ‘Bullet Raja’ actor has been booked under section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The 43-year-old actor was arrested and released on bail in 2012, after being accused of punching the businessman following a heated brawl.
The incident took place when Khan was reportedly dining with Shakeel Ladak, Bilal Amrohi, Malaika Arora, Karishma and Kareena Kapoor at a five star hotel in Mumbai.
Sharma, who was also present at the hotel as a guest, reportedly said Khan lost his cool and manhandled him when he requested the latter and his friends to keep the noise level down.
The hearing in the case against Khan will reportedly start from April 30th.
