imageKARACHI: Three ships M.V Ikan Parang, m.T Clipper Hebe and m.T Al-Soor-II scheduled to load/offload 40,650 tonnes cement, 4,678 tonnes chemicals and 52,444 tonnes diesel oil were allotted berth at Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Wednesday.

Meanwhile a container ship 'Kerstin-S' also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was maintained at the port at 43% on Wednesday where six ships namely C.V Maersk kolkata, C.V Sudair, M.V Ikan Parang, M.T Chemroad Wind, M.T Clipper Hebe and M.T Al-Soor-II were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 85,055 tonnes comprises 54,091 tonnes imports and 30,964 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,908 containers (TEUs) (743 imports and 1,165 exports TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Two shops, oil tanker "Al-Soor-II' and chemicals carrier 'Clipper Hebe' are expected to sail on today Wednesday afternoon.

Three ships C.V Kerstin-S, C.V APL Oman and C.V ER-Denmark carrying containers are expected to take berths at Container Terminals on Thursday.
