LAHORE: Punjab Food Minister and Chairman Cabinet Price Control Committee Bilal Yasin has said the provincial government is pursuing a comprehensive policy for stabilizing prices of essential items to check hoarding.
Addressing a meeting of price control committee at Town Hall on Saturday, the minister said the government had set up 44 Sahulat bazaars and quality essential items were being provided to people through these bazaars.
He directed that either concerned tehsil municipal officer should remain present in these bazaars or duty should be assigned to any responsible officer.
Parking system should be improved in the bazaars for the convenience of consumers and foolproof security arrangements should be made with the cooperation of local police, he added.
