imageKARACHI: Food Department Sindh has foiled an attempt to smuggle 25,000 kilogram wheat flour to Balochistan.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday, a special team of Sindh food department, constituted on the directives of Provincial Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, led by storage and enforcement officer district Malir Sarfaraz Kamangar, raided Q&Q roller flour mills Ghaghar Phatak.

A truck No TKW195 was being loaded with wheat flour in fake bags of A.B Enterprise flour mills Karachi, Shams flour mills Karachi and Qureshi flour mills Karachi.

The truck was bound for Makren flour mill Pisni road Turbat. Over this situation, the team sealed Q&Q flour mill and suspended its wheat quota.

Moreover, Dahar has said that every attempt to smuggle wheat flour to other provinces and beyond will be foiled.

He asked the owners of Flour mills to cooperate with Sindh Food Department in curbing wheat flour smuggling and take strict action against those elements who involved in this heinous crime.
