ISLAMABAD: The overseas Pakistan had sent US $ 55.01 billion from the financial year 2008-09 to 2012-13, said Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
According to the ministry's document, the remittances had shown a growth ratio of 5.56 percent during the financial year 2012-13 as compared with 2011-12.
The remittances during July 2012 to June 2013 were US $ 13,920.26 million as compared to US$ 13,186.62 million remitted during the fiscal year 2011-12.
Giving breakup of $ 55.01 billion, the details show that $ 7.81 billion had been remitted in 2008-09, $8.90 billion in 2009-10, $11.20 billion in 2010-11, 13.18 billion in 2011-12 and 13.92 billion in 2012-13.
