imageISLAMABAD: Stunned upon the Pakistan's 1-4 loss to South Africa in the ODI series, former captains and players call for a change in the captaincy as well as the coach.

Former fast bowler, Shoaib Akhtar said he don't think the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has any justification now for retaining Misbah ul haq as captain of the ODI team.

Akhtar said Misbah had introduced a defensive environment and culture in the team and there was need for changes in the management. "We need to bring in honest, sincere and dedicated people into our system and management," Akhtar told a private news channel.

He said that players are only worried about getting into the team and then about earning money and are not playing for personal and national pride.

Former captain, Rashid Latif said he feels there are groupings taking place in the national team that has been creating problems. "Because of these groupings we are losing but if we will play like a unit than we could beat anyone," Latif said.

He said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should not interfere in selection matters and must not encourage any type of such environment in the team. "The way Asad Shafiq is being treated despite his performances. There is no justification for playing Sohail Tanvir and Umar Amin in the last ODI. You can see the signs that all is not well in the team. We need to clean up this system," he said.

Muhammad Yousuf said either former captain, Inzamam-ul-Haq or former Australian opener, Justin Langer were the best men now to take control of the team. "In Pakistan, coaches with little international experience themselves never succeed.

You need coaches like Inzamam or Langer who have played lot of cricket for their country and know what top cricket is all about. Tell me how many coaches with little international experience have been successful at the top level," Yousuf said.
