KARACHI: Gold jumped by Rs 171 to reach record high at Rs 40,028 per 10 grams in local bullion market Saturday, as its international price also climbed to $ 1,487 an ounce, market sources said.
A leading bullion dealer said that tola (11.664 grams) price went up by Rs 200 to Rs 46,700.
Silver also surged to Rs 1,157.14 per 10 grams.
