mula-bakhsh-chandio_400ISLAMABAD: Senator Maula Bakhsh Chandio Monday said that the Bhawalpur South Punjab Province was on the top of the manifesto of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

"PPP-led government has taken and would carry on all possible measures to settle down the longstanding demand of the people of South Punjab to create a new province according to their desire", he told APP.

Chandio stated that PPP laid the foundation of Bhawalpur South Punjab province on the day when this idea was floated for the first time at National Assembly's floor and later on, a parliamentary commission on the formation of new provinces was constituted for giving real shape to the idea.

The senator said that the Southern Punjab Province was inevitable and it would come into being sooner or later.

He expressed the hope that the PPP would come into power again with a huge margin on the basis of its performance and good governance and would provide South Punjab's people their legal rights.
