0kite-flyingRAWALPINDI: The officials of City District Government and police have failed to curb kite flying and mayhem created under the fold of Basant celebrations in Rawalpindi.

Recently, residents of Aria Mohalla, Nadeem Colony, Muslim Colony, Norani Colony, Tipu Road, Chamanzar Colony, Tench Bhata, Bakra Mandi Chungi No 22, Rawal Road and other areas celebrated Basant night. They flied kites and played music loudly on their rooftops the whole night while the concerned authorities did not take any action against the violators of the ban.

Some residents of the area also complained the police about the noise pollution created by the loud music but police official did not turn up to stop the violation. Moreover, sale of kites and string is also going on unhindered in different parts of the city.
