z16KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh, Qaim Ali Shah said that, Malir and Lyari are the strong hold of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

 

He was speaking at a public meeting in Murad Memon Goth, Gadap Town, Malir here on Thursday.

 

An important political personality of the area Sardar Jam Bijar Khan has arranged the reception in connection with the joining of the PPP along with his `Biradri' and friends.

 

Provincial ministers Agha Siraj Durrani, Sajid Hussain Jokhio, Special Assistants to CM Sindh, Rashid Hussain Rabbani, Waqar Medhi, Salman Abdullah Murad, veteran PPP leader Pro. N.D. Khan, Sadiq Memon, Najmi Alam, Abdul Razzak Raja, party workers and people were present on the occasion in great numbers.

 

Syed Qaim Ali Shah congratulated Sardar Jam Bijar Khan and his colleagues on joining the PPP.

 

He pointed out that the past governments had ignored the Malir area. However, the present democratic government undertook a lot of development in Malir and provided with the development fund of Rs. two billion.

 

He recalled that Provincial government gave Rs 40 billion development package to Karachi.

 

The Chief Minister said that if the PPP comes to power again after winning the coming general elections, then more development would be carried out to serve the people of Malir and under the able leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, would serve the people of Sindh.

 

He pointed out that 166 villages were regularized which never happened in the history of Malir. Electricity and gas was provided to 50 villages and more such facilities would be made available.

 

Agha Siraj Durrani, Salman Abdullah Murad, Abdul Razzaq Raja and Sardar Jam Bijar Khan also address the gathering.
