chaudhry-nisar-ali-khanKARACHI: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has said, "We will be ready to form a caretaker government in the next 10 days," the media reported on Wednesday.

Talking to the media following his meeting with Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Munawar Hassan to constitute a caretaker government in Lahore today, he said that there is clear provision in the Conctitution to form a caretaker government.

He said, PML-N was holding talks with several political parties on a caretaker set-up and it was agreed by all opposition political parties that 2 individuals will be nominated from each province to form the caretaker government.

No result will be achieved if assemblies are not set up simultaneously, he added.

About the Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran (TMQ) chief Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's Long March, he said, a spectacle was created in Islamabad last week.

Talking to the media outside parliament on Tuesday, Nisar said PML-N did not accept the agreement between the government and Qadri, adding he was of the view that attempts were being made to delay elections.

He claimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had a key role to play in relation to dissolution of assemblies ahead of general election.

He said talks had been going on with several parties for the past two months.
