Islamabad police nabs two Indian High Commission officials

(Karachi) Islamabad police have arrested two Indian High Commission officials after a road accident, media reported on Monday.

According to details, the two officials, whose names are yet to be ascertained, were involved in a road accident in which a person suffered critical injuries. The police stated that the officials were overspeeding when the accident occurred.

After the incident, the two Indian officials tried to escape from the spot. However, the police chased the accused and managed to arrest them. Both high commission officials have been sent behind bars while legal action is being initiated against them as per the law.

Meanwhile, in response to arrest of the officials, India has started harassing Pakistani High Commission officials in Delhi. Reportedly, the Pakistani High Commission was surrounded by protesters who demanded release of the two officials.

Earlier, security forces arrested two Indian spies with Indian currency, identity cards and other documents. They identified themselves as Noor Mohammad Wani and Feroze Ahmed Lone, residents of Achora village in tehsil Gurez of the Bandipur district in India-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
