PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Railways, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour Friday said that concrete measures are being taken for the revival of Pakistan Railways, adding that railway which was on verge of collapse had been saved due to better policies of President Asif Ali Zardari.
Talking to media here in Bilour House on Friday, he rejected the allegation of keeping 51 vehicles as totally baseless and propaganda campaign of conspirators aimed at defaming Pakistan Railways.
He said that seven projects have been approved for the revival of railways,whose completion will enable it to stand on its own feet. Haji Bilour said that the country is on the verge of general elections, which will be held on schedule.
He said that the country could not afford the experiences of Maulana Tahir-ul-Qadri, saying that he was so sincere then why he could divulged it in past.
He sad that he did not know about who is behind Tahir-ul-Qadri.However, he said that elections will be held on time, saying there is no truth in rumours regarding its postponement.He said that terrorism could be eliminated only with unity amongst political forces.
